Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

The App does not require an account. We do not collect any of the following:

• Name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information
• Account credentials (the App does not require sign-up or login)
• Precise location data
• Contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or other sensitive device permissions
• Advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking
• Your data for profiling, advertising, or sale to third parties

2. Information Collected Automatically (Device & Usage)

The App may collect limited, non-personally identifiable technical information necessary for basic functionality, performance, and improvement:

• Device information — device type, iOS version, language, and region settings
• An anonymous subscription identifier — a random ID (not tied to your name or email) generated by our subscription provider, RevenueCat, and sent to our backend to verify subscription status and apply free-tier usage limits
• Request logs — our backend temporarily logs the technical inputs used to generate a request (e.g., which tickers, your selected risk tolerance and trading style) for debugging and reliability. These logs are not linked to your name or email and do not include any personal Anthropic API key you may have added (see Section 4)

We do not use this data for advertising or profiling.

3. How Trade Ideas Are Generated

To generate AI trade ideas, options plays, and market news summaries, the App sends the following to our backend, which forwards it to our AI provider, Anthropic:

• Stock tickers, prices, and price changes for the candidates you're viewing
• Your selected risk tolerance and trading style (e.g., aggressive/conservative, day trader/investor)
• Recent market news text, synthesized from public posts by curated finance accounts on X (Twitter) — this is public information, not data about you

None of this includes your name, email, or any other personally identifiable information. Anthropic processes this data under its own privacy policy to return the generated content back to the App.

Stock prices and quotes are sourced from third-party market data providers. This is public market data, not data about you.

4. Your Own API Key (Optional)

The App lets you optionally add your own Anthropic API key to skip our daily generation limits. If you do:

• Your key is stored only on your device (not on our servers) and can be removed at any time in Settings.
• It is sent with each request so your requests are billed to your own Anthropic account instead of ours.
• We do not log, store, or otherwise retain your key on our servers.

5. Your Local Data

Your favorites, saved preferences, idea history, and (if provided) your own API key stay on your device.

• We do not upload this local data to our servers.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Anthropic — processes the inputs described in Section 3 to generate AI content
• RevenueCat — manages subscription status via the anonymous identifier described in Section 2
• Market data providers — supply public stock price and quote data
• Apple services — App Store receipt validation, standard system crash reporting

We currently use no third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.

7. Data Retention

• Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
• Server-side request logs (Section 2) are retained only as long as necessary for debugging and App improvement (typically up to 90 days).
• When you delete the App, all local data is removed from the device (subject to normal iOS behavior).

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children and is not intended for users under 18 (see our Terms of Service). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Because we collect almost no personal data, most traditional rights (access, deletion, portability) are not applicable. However, you always have these practical controls:

• Remove your own API key at any time in Settings
• Delete any local data (favorites, idea history) directly in the App
• Uninstall the App to remove all local data

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the App and our backend from unauthorized access, but remember: because most of your data lives on your device, your device's security (passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, iOS updates) is an important part of protecting it.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised "Effective Date". Significant changes will be communicated inside the App.

Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
